Lullaby

Today started out well... A good sleep, and woke up just in time to grab breakfast and get prepared before stepping out of the condo to get a cab to work.

Then... suddenly... rain started to fall...

cold air breezed in through the windows and sang a soothing lullaby that sent me packing up to dreamland for another 30 minutes.

It compromised my preparation, but then again, I'm just a 20 minute walk away from my office, I just didn't want to arrive all sweaty to work so I still get a cab every morning. This day was different... I stepped out of the condo at around 7:15 am and there's just no available taxi that was passing by.

I sucked it in and began to take little steps... starting from 1 and then taking the second until I got here. Accompanied by the drops of rain, I couldn't help but whip out my phone and just get this thing in pictures. Like I said in my previous blog... I miss my camera.

And so here I am... at work... trying to recollect my thoughts of the wet adventure (not really). And I'm really hoping we could also get tickets later for the first night of the new Harry Potter movie.

And also... where did I friggin put that umbrella?

Missing the Hobby

One thing that makes me envy other photography hobbyist around is the opportunities they get around their backyard.

Some of my contacts in Flickr would post the San Francisco bridge on a foggy night with a full moon to boot, or a small water fall thats on their creek that's just around the corner of their house. These guys can just get up, grab their cameras and move in to make gorgeous pictures.

I, on the other hand, is struggling to find shots that's just outside my yard. I have a river that's oozing with trash because of the inconsiderate people living near it. With cluttered houses, there's just not much there. I have to travel for miles to get something going.

One of the things that I usually go for are landscapes. As you can see, most of my Flickr posts would have these on. I also love to get the grungy architectures that our old churches here in the Philippines would give, I'd love to have those on black and white too.

Hehe... but then again, most photographers would just make something ordinary... interesting...
Sometimes I just wish I can do that in a jiffy...

But with all things said and done... I think I'm just missing my camera. He's just there sitting right beside my monitor at home. I think I'm going to take him out this Friday and Saturday.

Return of the Tube

Dead Set - I got my hands on this show and wished there's more than 5 episodes of this. My brother finished gobbling all 5 of em last night while I slept through the 2nd because it was just that late in the evening already. I would've stayed up if I could blast the volume up and watch it how it's supposed to, blasting speakers and me screaming like a bitch.

That's what I did while playing the Zombie Game in Call of Duty: World at War and while the zombies gang up on you when you alarm them in Left 4 Dead.

Plot Summary by IMDb.
It's eviction night at the Big Brother house, but something very strange is happening; the dead are coming alive and attacking the living. When zombies attack all of the audience outside, the Big Brother contestants are unaware of the death outside the fan-proof (and zombie-proof) big brother house until the show's runner, Kelly, comes into the house and warns them of the doom outside. Stuck with even less contact with the outside world, the house-mates must sneak out of the house to get supplies, without being seen by the zombies.

This is what they should do with the show Heroes. Let them be taken into prison by the government and be isolated from everyone. A virus then spreads amongst the nation making all of them zombies. Now it's up to the Heroes to save them all from it... find a cure or...
...
survive...

now wouldn't that be awesome? then Claire Bennet gets bitten by one and will be the Zombie that never dies. HOW ABOUT THAT FOR A PLOT!
cmon NBC sign me...

Modern Warfare 2 Teasing Teasers

Modern Warfare 2 which is pegged to be released November is showing out what they'll include in their 'prestige package'.

Fully functioning Night Vision mother friggin Goggles.

This is something worth to be seen but then again... I just want to get my hands on the game and play it. I remember the good ol days when I slept over my friends place and played Modern Warfare 1. I sat on it... and never stood up. I finished the whole game in one sitting from about 8:00 pm to 1:00 am the next day. I didn't get to go to work that day because of being so fatigued with war.

My brother then got the World at War and man o man... it didn't disappoint as well. Packaged with an awesome 'Zombie Mode' bonus game... You won't get tired of playing it.

My franken-pc monster isn't up yet, and looking at my finances, it's not going along with what was planned. This game is coming out November... maybe I can cook something up before the time comes.

War is at hand... Gotta be equipped for it.

Theatrical Drought

totally crushing on this witch

Upon residing in Mandaluyong for most of the weekends. Me and my cousin developed a ritual to hang out for a movie every now and then to ease the boredom of not having the comforts of your own home. We watch movies every now and then.

Last week after the explosive week that the 2nd Transformers film caused, we found ourselves staring at posters of Hannah Montana and Ice Age 3... movies that we wouldn't to get ourselves into.

This following weeks would mean redemption as the 6th Harry Potter film is coming out on July 15th? 16th?... Johnny Depp's Public Enemies will be showing on July 22, and Up to end this month. I think Year One, Land of the Lost and GI Joe would be coming out one by one too...

Well cousin... we won't get bored for these coming weeks... good thing Shang is just around the corner.

The Fourth Coming

Karim Benzema, the fourth coming for Real Madrid.

The presentation of Karim Benzema ended the 1st wave of signings that included Spanish defender, Raul Albiol, the Brazilian playmaker Kaka and the Portuguese phenom Cristiano Ronaldo. Florentino Perez and Valdano promises 3 more signings that could include Xabi Alonso among them.

Cold Arizona Summer

The current NBA Off-Season is turning out to be a mad one. The names that are being moved from one franchise to another is crazy. They range from the Kirk Humphries to the Ron Artest's to the Vince Carter's and the Shawn Marion's.

A great deal of teams have greatly improved their stock with their current movements while the others, including my Phoenix Suns, inactivity simply baffles me.

Early this morning a deal concerning the move of Shawn Marion to the Dallas Mavericks is finalized which apparently broke my heart because, even if it was a long shot, I wanted him back in Phoenix. Now there are talks about the Jazz' Carlos Boozer is being shopped by the Bulls.

Which brings me to my question...

What the f*** is Steve Kerr doing?

Being a general manager, you should be looking after the success of the franchise, but soon after he sat down there replacing Mike D'Antoni (who replaced Bryan Colangelo) as the Suns GM, everything went downhill. One bad deal after another... one bad idea after another.

The Orlando Magic got Vince Carter, the Boston Celtics got Rasheed Wallace, the San Antonio Spurs got Richard Jefferson and Antonio McDyess, the Los Angeles Lakers got Ron Artest, and lastly... the Dallas Mavericks got Shawn Marion and possibly Marcin Gortat... while the Phoenix Suns got Ben Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic and the 48th pick of next years draft (AWESOME!).

I know we're really steering into rebuilding this franchise but without picks next year, who happens to showcase John Wall, I don't know when I'll see this franchise climb up again that playoff spot.

The Phoenix Suns are looking into trading Amar'e Stoudemire but somehow no one is biting, we're still in possession of Steve Nash who's really not getting any younger, we're trying to hold on to Grant Hill who's basically at the final run of his career and a bunch of questionable young men named Alando Tucker, Robin Lopez and this years draft picks Earl Clark and Taylor "not Blake" Griffin.

Having those I'm looking into starting the season with this lineup that doesn't really make much sense. Steve Nash, Leandro Barbosa/Tucker/Richardson, Jason Richardson/Earl Clark, Louis Amundson, and Amar'e.

I just don't know how this lineup could get into the playoffs again, and having no picks... because we sent our UNPROTECTED pick to OKC next year along with Kurt Thomas for cash, there's just nothing to look forward to in the next 3 or more years.

The only thing that this franchise can boast of now is their secret fountain of youth that made Grant Hill and Shaq valuable assets once more. Maybe we could buy into that and get cheap could've-been-stars that seeks a second chance to revitalize their careers like Darius Miles who was recently waived by the Memphis Grizzlies. Make a way to get Yao and T-Mac to come over, see if we can reassemble Penny and give it a go like the kind of team the Celtics is assembling... at least do something for crying out loud.

Sometimes I wish I didn't like the Suns, sometimes I wish I wasn't a fan, but like it or not, I'm with them for the long haul, I just don't imagine myself not being one. I've been following them since Sir Charles led them to almost win a title, I followed them when they had Jason Kidd and Penny to lead the charge. I followed them down when Stephon Marbury brought them under and I followed them when Steve Nash made us believe again...

So... What is Steve Kerr doing?

CR9 Meets Madrid

A week after Real Madrid presented their first signing, Kaka, the Madrid faithful, 80,000 of them, came back to the Santiago Bernabeu to meet the 2nd 'galactico' to arrive in Madrid.

The 80,000 strong that came in Santiago Bernabeu witnessed how CR9 began to live his dream.

i HALA MADRID !

Galacticos - The term used to describe Real Madrid circa 2000-2004 who boasted a roster that comprised of the worlds biggest soccer names like Zinadine Zidane, Luis Figo, Raul, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo and Raul.

This team won the La Liga title in 2000-2001 and 2002-2003 (some consider the league title that Real Madrid won in 2006-2007 signed off the era) and the UEFA Champions League in 2001-2002.

2nd Wave - The 2nd wave of the Galacticos began when Florentino Perez, the bringer of the previous Galacticos in Real Madrid, won the presidency and brought Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema to play with Real.

NBA - Offseason Beat

It's been a while since we've had this guys, and since we're experiencing one of the most busy offseason movement ever... why not talk about them right?

let's begin from the top

Shaquille O'Neal to Clevelend for Ben Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic

The Suns simply traded the monster they rejuvenated for their cause that didn't work... and got nothing but budget breathing space back, and I'm not quite sure how they're going to use it. The free agents are coming and going as we speak, and Ben Wallace haven't made a decision whether to retire or not. Pavlovic may be serviceable from the Phoenix bench, but this lineup is really depleted. I'm expecting another grim season for my Suns.

Vince Carter and Ryan Anderson to Orlando for Courtney Lee, Tony Battie, and Rafer Alston

This was a smart move for both teams. The Nets got a bright future in Lee and good role players in Alston and Battie. But with Harris already running the floor, I don't know if Alston could keep his mouth shut given that he's gonna come off the bench.

The Magic on the other hand gambled on Vince's old knees. This could make or break for them as Vince showed that he can still shoot outside, but... he's more of Half Man, Half Deteriorated right now... But we'll see. They gave a good prospect out and got another one in the form of Ryan Anderson who could really play the Orlando game. RAnderson can really shoot it outside, and if he's really someone who could bloom to a Troy Murphy? Dwight would love that hard rebounder and outside shooter with him any day.

Richard Jefferson to the Spurs for Bruce Bowen, Kurt Thomas and Fabricio Oberto

Spurs may have another run for the title for them with the addition of Richard Jefferson. They didn't need Bruce Bowen, KT and Fabricio and they got a quality scorer back. With Pop's wits, RJ may be seeing alot of shots the way Roger Mason Jr did.

The Bucks on the other hand traded Oberto for Amir Johnson who may become a quality young stud off their bench (or starting). Nothing to expect from Milwaukee but they may create some fantasy players there.

Mike Miller, Randy Foye to the Wizards for Etan Thomas, Darius Songalia, Oleksiy Pecherov

One word... Quality.

The Wizards got two quality guys from Minesotta for a bag of... something else. Mike Miller and Randy Foye can help their team off the bench who already boasts of a lineup consisting Agent Zero Minutes, Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler. With the addition of the offensive guru, Flip Saunders... expect this team to give us a change we can believe in...

The Wolves on the other hand... seems to still have Kevin McHale running the show... 3 PG's on draft day and these guys? hmmmmm... If they're expiring contracts I'd understand.

Jamal Crawford to the Heat for Acie Law and Speedy Claxton.

The Golden State Warriors resolved their clogged up back court situation by sending away Jamal Crawford for... a couple of guards. Well I'm not seeing Law or Claxton suit up for Nelson this year... but the Hawks got a headache with Crawford. I'm interested on how disrupted their rotation would be.

Darko Milicic to the Knicks for Quentin Richardson.

A wise move for the Knicks here because... David Lee might move some place.

Zach Randolph to the Grizzlies for Quentin Richardson.

Time to experience some locker room chaos in Memphis.

Jason Kapono to the 76ers for Reggie Evans.

Sixers got a shooter... Raptors got a dude.

Ron Artest to the Lakers

This is something of a head scratcher, I liked how they used Trevor and I don't know how they'll handle Artests attitude. He's no Rodman because Dennis didn't take shots from MJ and Pip... Ron would take alot of questionable shots, more than Fisher will ever do, from Kobe and the others... And I don't know if it's wise for the Lakers to put a guy who took a hiatus from Basketball to pursue a rap career in LA. It's going to be a wild ride... but still, it's going to be entertaining come November.

Trevor Ariza to the Rockets

This is another headscratcher. Ariza thrived in LA because he had a Kobe Bryant to support. I don't know if Trevor would be a go to guy, but I'd still love him to prove me wrong. The guy has a great attitude (from what I see on tv) and would love him to be big. Houston could be that place for him...

Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva to the Pistons

The Pistons are rebuilding and they got these guys. Ben Gordon who basically doesn't have any idea what a friggin assist is and Charlie Villanueva who's game is so inconsistent it's always a gamble on playing him on your fantasy team.

I really don't know how Rip, Ben Gordon and Stuckey could work together... but then again the league hasn't started yet and this could still change...

Hedo Turkoglu to the Raptors

The Magic would surely miss this guy but he did demand alot for what he's capable of doing. The Raptors gave him that. This is a move to keep Bosh thinking if staying in Toronto would work in the next few years. Given that Marion could still sign for them, T-dot may make a run for the playoffs this year...

All I know is that under Bryan Colangelo... they won't have to fear in building a team. That guy knows alot when it comes to those.

Rasheed Wallace to the Celtics

Well leprechaun fans... Sheed gives the Celtics another chance to run at that title. Boston has become the last chance hotel for these kind of stars that had PJ Brown kiss that ring 2 seasons ago. Well Sheed has a chance for his 2nd here in Boston... damn. Time for Perk to say goodbye to them minutes.

Still wished he had gone to Orlando.

Fire In The Hole!

Again, something botched up my Monday Basketball.

A 3 hour fire in the PSE West Tower Basement damaged the whole thing that distributes electricity through out the building. When I arrived there earlier everyone was downstairs. So I was thinking that this would be awesome since I can go home early and work from there. But meetings should be attended and I have to go with everyone in Site B which is in Marikina City.

Logistically again... It would be hard for me to get back to Mandaluyong to rendezvouz with my Dad home. Get ready and prepare for ball. To which I'm still trying to device a way to make that one happen.

Looks like we'll be here until tomorrow... or worse. Best thing about it is that I can work from home again, and if I ever get called to the office, We don't need to wear slacks and leather shoes!

So here's one to kick my week off!

Damn it... I miss my NBA.

It's a Celebration Bitches

So this could be the last of the puppet shows we've seen through out the playoffs.
From Lebron clapping out powder all over their room to Kobe looking for his 3 4 championship rings. To jumping cars, to Mrs. Lewis calling Lebron to Lil Dez... and now the yellow and purple confetti...

As the NBA year turned out to a close and to another one brewing up with off-season talks, let's take a look on what's cooking so far.

Let's start with the two teams that battled it out for this years prized possession.

The Lakers won't have to deal so much and I guess they'll be primed for another championship run next year. Let's see if the myth of PJ's championships comes in 3's can get busted.

We might see a better Laker team next year now that Trevor would be starting out the whole season. I won't be surprised if Jordan Farmar might break in the lineup aswell, since Oldman Fish is, well, an Old Man.

The Orlando Magic has alot in their hands starting with Rafer Alston. The talking heads have already showed both sides of them keeping Skippy and trading him away for peace and harmony. For me I just don't know what to expect with a healthy Jameer Nelson and Skip in one team. Both guards would demand minutes, and Jameer is one of the core members of the group. The ideal and logical move here is to ship Skip out of Orlando. He would make a good backup guard, and they can now play small ball with both of them out in the open court. Just some possibilities, but Skip would most likely Skip out of Orlando.

Hedo has publicly said that he'll opt out of his current contract. But I'd see him go back with the Magic. Where else would he play point-forward? If he moves, he'd be left with nothing but a shooting forward who'd most likely be two notches down from his performance in Orlando.

Josh Smith's name has been ringing bells lately... Just not sure where he'd fit.

Shaq is rumored to be on the move and cast a shadow in Cleveland. But I just don't see the light with what they're offering the Suns. Getting Ben Wallace and Pavlovic is just not enough with Shaq. The Big Kid maybe old, but compared to Ben... He's more valuable. I just don't see how this would benefit Phoenix, and it's not even around the area of clearing salary cap since Big Ben still has another year of his huge ass contract. I'd rather have Shaq than these two.

Unless... Steve Kerr is really a moron.

This is the last season before the Big Transfer Act of the NBA materializes... This would likely dictate where we'll see King James in the following year. Who'll be with RuPaul... and where will amazing happen next.

In Conclusion

Congratulations to the 2009 NBA Champions. The Los Angeles Lakers!

They say that Phil's championships comes in threes... If these Lakers can keep up what they're doing... It's possible.

15th for the franchise, 10th for Phil, 4th for Mamba...

Whew what a post season that was! Bulls-Celtics, Magic-Celtics, Magic-Cavs, Lakers-Rockets, Lakers-Nuggets, Lakers-Magic.... this is the best playoffs I've seen in recent history. Amazing...

Anyway... now that Amazing has happened in Los Angeles... What are we going to do now? there's no amazing till the season starts in October? November?...

Out of order

The week was just turning out to be a great one. Sun was up, arrived in office early, and everything was just right. Having eaten Tocino for breakfast to add icing on the already awesome morning I was having. I was already looking forward to playing Basketball tonight, having seen how Kobe played against the Magic today was just inspiring. And most of the time, I live through inspiration even with the sports I play.

Then... suddenly, I received a call that I need to visit a client for a meeting. That kinda pushed me off my order already, but thinking maybe I could leave right after the meeting and get back to meet my dad earlier.

Then the day just wouldn't stop messing itself up when I learned that the meeting would have to start by 3. Given our previous discussions which usually last an hour and a half... I don't know how I could cut things out to make it in time for ball later...

Good Lord... Why?

You see, playing basketball with my friends every Monday night is the very thing that makes Mondays worthwhile. This was the very thing that gives mo to my mojo. This usually keeps me up the whole week seeing how I played and basically had fun... ruining it would be the ruin of this week.

Now I'm at our clients whim... and me? I just couldn't find a way to smile now...

Avengers Assemble!

It's no secret that they're all coming to town, and they'll all rally by the start of next year. Whoo-dee-do!!!

And I can't wait to see the next Iron Man film. This would include Mickey Rourke as Iron Man's nemesis in this movie, Whiplash, and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow! So all in all we can say, in Jon Favreu we trust, since he'll also be the hands that would mold The Avengers into action.

10 Minute Captain Kirk of USS Kelvin will hold the Mjolnir in Thor. And also director, Kenneth Branagh ensures we don't listen to ye old english as they act as thee.

Nemesis Loki and good old daddy Odin will also be in the film. I wonder where they'll hold Asgard?

Captain America has a mind, and Joe Johnston is going to be it. Director of Honey I shrunk the Kids, Jumanji and October Sky will add his touches on the great american hero. There's nothing here yet, but we know that they'll set this in a WWII setting.

In other news... Spider-man 4 is a go and the gang is back for a shot of web-demption. Director Sam Raimi says he'll have more creative control this time and it will definitely be better than Spider-man 3. Honestly... anything would be better than Spider-man 3.

Toby Maguire and Kirsten Dunst will be back as Spidey and love interest Mary Jane... and we'll probably see The Lizard as his tormentor in this film. Save the franchise... save the world.

Next Blockbuster in June!

What do you get when you cross Terminator and Transformers? Transmorphers! Robots falling down the sky threatening the human race... Just like as if Skynet was based on Mars and suddenly sent the robots he created from Cybertron down to earth... on cube form. How fancy is that?

Oh and check out the 00:43 mark... You'll get some dial-up internet nostalgia.

The best thing about creating movies like this wherein mankind is being threatened by Computer Generated robots... is that you can only cast a few so-so actors... tell them that you got their loved ones hostaged, and make them run with a shotgun. You'll get this.

Transmorphers: Fall of man.

Worked Out the Old Shots

So a slow day, I chose to sneak in and work on some of my old shots (dated Feb of this year)

I found some of my sunrise pictures from our annual family beach trip. This year, we went to Bohol, and it was the first summer my camera experienced with me. Anyway here are the original shots.

I adjusted colors/curves of the photos and made a little physical adjustment on them.
I cropped out the empty mass from the first picture and managed to come out with this.

Whats up with the minds of our so called congressmen these days? They can't seem to sit down and think... wait what am I saying, these guys already have YAY on their minds when you tell them about changing our constitution. These douchebags are on a mission, and we have yet to see what the big picture is. As of now, we know that they're using all their powers to kill the Senate as another legislative house that would vote on resolutions separate from the house of representatives.

2 views that people are looking at in this situation.

1. Term extension.

We all know that PGMA is screwed once she steps down her high chair. We all know that there are sharks waiting on her as she gets stripped of her immunities. That goes to mister First Gentleman aswell.

2. Change of Government to Parliamentary

Others speculate that she would run as congresswoman of the province of Pampanga... and for sure she'll win... then we'll be saying hello to the first Prime Rib of the Philippines.

It doesn't look good either way. If this Constituent Assembly pushes through, we're left with nothing... including what little hope we have.

Democracy was raped... stripped off her clothes and forced to suck their c*ck.

may God help us all.

Burning Skies

I was in Subic last weekend, and my camera got another opportunity to get out of its bag along with his friend mr. tripod.

So while my officemates were busy preparing for their skits and presentations to entertain us through the night, I got my friends out their containers and took some shots. Here are some of the pictures that I took.

While looking at the bay, a white light coming from my left caught my eye. So when I moved towards the source this is what I saw. Problem was there was a ledge blocking my way, good thing the tripod was high enough to get the camera to see the sight. This is what I got.

Right outside the room I saw a tanker docking by the bay. I wasted no time and set up the tripod and aim at the tanker. Took some trials to get my desired shot, and somehow I was speaking to myself as I analyze each picture. I found myself uttering these words... rule of thirds.

hehe this is what I got after adjusting the brightness and contrast.

Cha-Cha...

What for? Why the freak now? Why are they rushing too much for this Charter change shit? So that they can add more for their mother dear? I don't see any reason as to why they're trying so hard to pass this Con-Ass or Cha-Cha or whatever... I don't see why.

And now... the congress are even trying to push it without the involvement of the Senate.

Oh yeah... I remember their plans with the Cha-Cha is to remove the bicameral system and eliminate the Senate all through out.

Can we get on with the elections already? So we can friggin change this shady administration we're witnessing right now.

Can we? please?

Raul: 2009 Golden Foot Nominee!

Raul has chances in winning this years Golden Foot award this coming September.

The Golden Foot award is an award given to the best European footballers that are over 29 of age. Other players joining Raul in the shortlist are Totti, Henry, Ronaldinho, Buffon, Gerrard, Giggs, Trezeguet and former Madridistas David Beckham and Luis Figo.

Although I'm torn in voting my favorite player, Luis Figo, I'm going to vote for el capitan who has been nothing but stellar this year.

You can vote for your Golden Foot here.

Spider Holster, Allowing you to become Quicks-Draw-Mc-Hey!

Among my peers that are photography enthusiasts, the common complaints that I hear from them when carrying their DSLR's are that it's too big, too heavy for the neck, and it's just too big. As soon as I saw this Spiderholster from Engadget, I was kinda convinced that this could be the next best thing for photographers, or could be another one of those idiotic inventions that we could've lived without.

So without further ado... I introduce to you, the spider holster.

So what do you guys think about it? I myself would probably get one, but then again, given the likes of the people you'll get to know here in the Philippines, having a quick-draw camera would also mean a quick-buck for some of our friends in our streets. You know... the hack and swish move they usually do with celphones can easily be done with your camera aswell.

So there, next big small thing? or could've lived without.

I Want...

I may be laying aside my dream for getting new lens at the moment since the new Canon Speedlite 270EX came out recently.

Any photography enthusiasts out there that could give me a thing or two about this?

anyway here's the dealio.

Canon Speedlite 270EX

Key Features include:
• High power flash with a maximum guide number 27 m (other sites say upto 50mm)
• Fast, silent recycle times
• Manual flash output (settable via camera menus)
• Speedlite controllable with compatible camera's menu
• Zoom head
• Bounce flash head

It's priced at around Php 7,500. Anyone out there that could give me a thing or two about this? I'm really leaning towards getting one of these since the next good ones (430EX and 580EX II) are priced at around Php15,000 and Php 21,000. I still have no clue when it comes to flash photography, I just know that sooner or later I'll be needing one.

So what should I look after here? Inputs... inputs... inputs! They'll be really appreciated.

And I also found something extra that would help me get the smears out of my preview screen...

The Canon EP-EX15 Eyepiece Extender. This would keep my cheek from touching that preview screen when the going gets tough hehe. I'd probably check Camerahaus and Sanly @ Megamall tomorrow for this one.

So I'm getting addicted with Prime lenses and is seriously considering the 85mm f1.8 lens over the planned zoom lens. 85mm possesses range already and could be versatile aswell when it comes to shooting portraits and events since it's kind of a fast lens. Plus it's not that expensive.

Jeez this photography thingy is really getting alot of my budget lately. So much for that new PC hahaha. No, need to control... Discipline idiot... discipl.... mmmmm Big Mac.

I Dream My Love

should i dare dream
think more of what may seem
or just walk out of it
wait for that someone i'd meet

I'm hurt, i'm fine
in every song it's you i find
you know i'd want to stop
dream's too nice to flop

why wouldn't you let it happen?
or would you want me to start nappin
just to see and hold you
and you know in my heart there's nothing new

and now it's painful to dream
because of what may seem
and i have nothing to hold
since even in my sleep my emotions unfold

such pain to deal for such time
how they tell me loving you is a crime
when i know hope is grim
you know me, i'll still dream

why wouldn't it just happen
a sudden twist in fate for images to sharpen
my wish to be right next to you
you'll know my heart holds nothing new

and with a few i've flown and known
none like how you've got me blown
time i'll never get back
moments i'll always look back

why wouldn't it just happen
to finally see birds up high flapping
beside you, i'd give anything
or would you just want me to start nappin.

why wouldn't it just happen.

Updates

So whats been up? It's been a while since I last blogged, and I missed it. So I'll just throw practically everything that's on my mind right now... so hang on to your seats, here they come...

Hayden Kho... I'd just say that I've had enough of this. I beg people to stop talking about this because seriously... there's nothing to talk about. I'd probably ask and wonder why is it this being discussed in the senate. There's economic crisis out there, another lingering "ChaCha" movement by the lower house, and then the next big issue... sex tapes. Ok they're taboo, they're no-no... but why just now? why didn't anyone flinch like this when the actress Mahal came out with hers. So enough about these already, let them handle their problems... it shouldn't be the whole NATION'S concern! it shouldn't take up 40% of our news.

Sen. Bong Revilla... He scored a media hat trick in a month span! hooray for the dude. He first went out by (angrily) asking Alec Baldwin to apologize to the whole nation because the actor said that he'd probably get a Filipina Mail-Ordered Bride online while on Letterman. He shows that we, Filipinos can't take a joke. Next is that he went out on the Senate floor to announce that Hayden Kho is a pervert. And now he's fuming with anger at how the Batangas-Motor-Banca met their doom...

#1. Take the joke!... Don't come out and hate Alec Baldwin for saying these... but it's probably the truth. Maybe there's still sites out there that sells Filipina brides... LOOK IT UP!

#2. Already said my piece about Hayden Kho.

#3. Maybe if you were doing your job (not Resiklo or Exodus or Panday) you could've probably cemented laws about maritime safety.

Cha-Cha... I can't believe that even after a number of failed attempts to get this to go... they're still going for it! I just can't believe it. I just... can't... effin... believe it.... Give up effers... give up before money changes other politicians minds. I'm hoping that this would again get junked in the Senate, the house where my confidence still lies (except for a couple of idiots).

Ethics complaint... Jamby sucks... period, I'm not saying that Sen. Lacson's complains and qualms against Sen. Villar are idiotic, I respect what they find, if they're for real or if they're just ruining Villar's chance for the presidency, I won't know till the end. I just hate that Jamby Madrigal is out there rallying like the banner of ethics she claims she is. F this... this is a bunch of bull.

NBA!!!

What a conference finals we're having. Denver are really on the Lakers case. They're fighting back and forth like the black and white pieces of the chess board. This series is really turning out to be a thriller, the Cold War, the Cuban Missile Crisis... Nail Bitin, Gut Churnin, Ball Bustin kind of series. They're tied 2-2 with another game in LA tomorrow (9:00 am MLA Time).

And how about the Orlando Magic and Cleveland Cavaliers playoffs? Them Cavs are being exposed by the Magic. The Magic are already holding a commanding lead against the Cavaliers 3-1 and in three and a half games the Magic really dominated the Cavs, this began after the 2nd half of Game 1 where the Magic chased down a big Cavalier lead to win Game 1 in Cleveland. Game 2 was all Magic until that LBJ miracle. It should've been over if it wasn't for that... Games 3 and 4 went to the Magic with Game 4 going to OT.

I'm going to vacation this weekend along with the whole office and will probably get a rest day on Monday. Hopefully it won't rain... but CNN Weather (not PAGASA) said that it would probably rain in Subic on those days... so... F***!

a quick shoutout to my two bloggin friends... Happy Belated Birthday to Gel and Lei who went 21 and 24 last Monday and Tuesday respectively.

Grazie Mille Fabio!

Three years ago, a man who was fresh off a World Cup victory came on board with the mighty whites bringing not just good football on the pitch but his good nature in the locker room. He helped Real Madrid win two league titles (2006/07, 2007/08) and a Spanish Super Cup along with it.

Within the 54th minute mark against Mallorca, The former Ballon d'Or and Fifa World Player awardee has played his last match at the Santiago Bernabeu as a part of the Real Madrid outift.

Muchas Gracias Fabio! Adios!

Remembering a Son of the Suns

So tough to see good guys bid farewell...
But I guess we all know where they'll dwell.
No longer with pain and suffering that befell
but resting on wings of angels. They're well

RIP Wayman Tisdale.

"Los Angeles, We Have A Problem"

Getty Images

I'm not doubting the Lakers strength and talent. I'm still looking for a Laker win in Los Angeles in 2 days. But I'm still baffled by the thought that they couldn't close out on a team that's missing 2 of their best players (or at least how we know them).

Armed with a little warrior (Aaron Brooks) and the Argentinian Stud (Scola), The Rockets, unwilling to go out and be like Apollo 1 in this series, forced a do-or-die game 7 in Los Angeles for the chance to go into the Western Conference Finals against Denver.

The Rockets who looked like who never lost a beat, refueled at home after the 40-point beating they got from the Lakers in game 3, only lost 1 quarter to the Lakers in a game that seemed to be the one that would've sent the Lakers preparing to study Denvers game. Scola finished with 24 points and 12 rebounds and Brooks also chipping in 24 of his own to lead the Rockets barrage.

The Lakers on the other hand looked like they're clueless or maybe disheartened by the barrage they received from the Rockets (17-1) only closed in the 3rd quarter.

Now to my analysis, what's slowing the Mighty Lakers? What's keeping them out of their potential to dismember opponents in a way that fans are expecting them to? What ever happened to that refueled passion they're telling everyone about after they lost to the Celtics last year? I'm guessing these are the same Lakers that was battered and bruised by KG and company. Playing with their talent but not that motivated by their passion to win that crown.

Is it possible that the "zen" of Phil Jackson are slowing them down? Really making them feel relaxed and make them believe that they can still bag it in the next game? That's one thing I noticed with comparing the defending champions against these Laker team. The Celtics, without one of their big three, has been fighting until the last minute and see themselves win games. You can't deny the leprechauns heart, no matter how much I dislike this team, they comeout, ready to play.

The Lakers on the other hand, a team who appears to have everything to lose, are coming out that way... A team that has everything to lose. Now they're on a brink of an upset.

It's win or go home for them.

And Bingo was his Name-o!

Man talk about the dirty stuff really happening in washrooms. At least these signings are done over the table, well the bathroom sink in this situation.

Don't you just love when phone cameras are doing what they're supposed to do? From celebrities capturing themselves doing the dirty deed to politicians being caught doing their own version of dirty deeds. Awesome... just plain -bleeping- awesome!

This is the Philippines ladies and gentlemen, love it... and start to really go out and feel it within your guts your uttermost disgust for inglorious bastards such as these mother-bleepers-.

I'm calling you out -bleepers-! explain yourselves...

I'm watching you...

Cravings

Well today I started browsing the net for the gadgets that I have been thinking of getting this year. Since budget has been flowing so far, I can stop dreaming on some of these and hopefully I can bag some of them by the end of this year.

#1
Canon EF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 II USM Standard Zoom Lens for Canon SLR Cameras

Price: about 11,000

Well, this is something that I know that I might need soon. A zoom lens, I haven't really decided on what to get for zoom lenses since there's a 55-250mm that would be around 12,000 and an 85mm prime lens that would be a bit pricey at 18,000 but would gladly share wonderful bokeh-ish shots like my 50mm have been delivering so far.

I'm expecting the performance for both zoom lenses would be the same as the kit lens (18-55mm) that I already have. So I guess it won't be that bad?

Plan: Save up 2,500 per pay day and manage to gather 5,000 per month. I can manage to get the 28-105 or the 55-250 in 2.5 months tops.

Target: September-October of 2009

Need or Want?: Want (can wait till summer of 2010)

#2
iPod Classic 120GB

Price: about 12,000

This is something that I have always wanted. A big storage mp3/video player that can fit right into my pocket. This would really cater my 50gb+ mp3's that I'm already carrying in my external hard drive. And not to forget the series that I have been faithfully watching for the past 3 or so years. Talk about having Jack Bauer take on terrorists while you're on a plane heading to Hong Kong, or on a Bus heading to Makati.

But there's a little competition on this aspect of gear craving. I want to try the Microsoft Zune since it now has a 120gb model too. With its bigger screen and nice design, and the transfer fidelity that it offers, I'm thinking why not give it a shot? It's priced at around USD 250 (approximately PHP 12,500 or less). The only remaining problem would be the lack of official distributors in the Philippines and of course... service warranties.

Plan: My 13th month would straightly go into funding this craving. Nothing will stop that, unless someone gives me one before December arriveth.

I can now retire, or pass on my 1GB Creative Zen Stone to someone else.
I hate not having the ability to change my playlist when my mood changes in the middle of a long travel.

Target: December of 2009

Need or Want?: WANT!

#3
Canon EOS 500D

Price: 44,000

Well my 300D is a little old and is outdated and is way behind when it comes to technology. This 500D is offering video capture and holds a DIGIC 4 processor aswell. This would be a big upgrade from my 300D who has done nothing but amazing for me so far.

That would mean faster clickage and good ISO range. But then again... all photos would still depend on the man behind the machine.

So I guess 300D won't worry that much on being replaced.

Plan: Not really planning to buy this one at the moment

Target: 2012? 2013? 2014?

Need or Want?: Just an afterthought

#4
PC UPGRADE

Price: About 28,000

Well my desktop at home has been on life support for a couple of years already. It's almost 5 years old and is begging to be buried beneath the sands of time. Placed into a museum to be admired by kids who are wearing space jumpsuits and licking digital lollipops, who have been Living Long and Prospering.

I guess it's time, like Star Trek, for a reboot. My table would need a new digital era composed of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 coming out soon, Left 4 Dead and what not...

Starcraft II and Diablo III anyone?

So what you see there is the ECS A780 motherboard, an AMD Phenom II X4 processor and a 22" Samsung Monitor to start things off. The plan would also include a 500Gb Seagate Barracuda Hard drive, 2 pieces of 2GB DDR2 Memory Modules, and a pack of Skittles.

Plan: 2,500 per pay day would equate to 5,000 a month, and we're looking at 6 months tops. That would mean, move over lens, to see this machine rise around November of this year.

Target: November of this year

Need or Want?: Want and Need... (Daddy needs his zombie killing spree)

With all things said here, I'm looking at a new PC by November and 120gb worth of Music by Christmas of 2009. If properly budgeted and planned, I may be looking at change of wardrobe too since this would also mean that I'd be eating less and spending less on burgers...

I'd probably need new jeans and clothes by then too...

Sheeeeeesh.

Bargain Bin

Now that Canon is coming out with new models this year, It's time to strike and help Canon to write the old inventory out of their warehouses. If you're the type who's not really looking towards the new models, but more of price conscious then this former $179 (SRP) camera should make you think, since this Canon PowerShot SD1100 has a 8 megapixel camera with a 3x zoom and a 2.5 inch screen is on sale at Staple's mortar-and-brick stores for $129.99 (Php 6500 est). [via GearCrave]

for more info about the camera check these sites:

So if there's anyone I know who is coming home here and can bag me this bargain. Let me know! I think I'd love to have one of these, or maybe my mom would appreciate this too. So just let me know!

For My Mom

Yesterday in church, they asked me to say something for my mom since it's mothers day.
So for my mom I wrote this...

So here's one to my mom
My only girl while I still have none
To the woman who carried me in her tummy
To the woman who took care of me when my nose was runny
To the woman who makes my day bright and sunny
when I wake up to something yummy
To the reason why I have this big tummy
thought I'd just say that to sound funny
And before I start to sound corny
I just wanna say...
I love you mommy.

Happy Mothers Day.

I also wrote this with crayons heh

The National Anthem Baloon!!!

Oh my friggin goodness gracious... These guys couldn't just let the so called "issue" go.

Now they're filing a case...

so I guess we should let these guys have it...

let's give mister Barzaga (Cavite Rep) a round of applause for being such a patriot and defender of our good country by filing a case to a person who misinterpreted the National Anthem...

I guess this would be my last rant of this issue... unless something else that's totally unnecessary comes up that would deserve a post.

Seriously I live right next to Cavite, and I didn't hear an uproar from the crowd... If I ever did hear one... it's probably because Pacman knocked the lights out from the Hitman in 2 rounds... or probably because it's traffic again in their place.

To all who are against on how it was sung... here's my middle finger to all your uptight asses... False Nationalists... I bet you guys don't even follow the road rules... how do I know? I LIVE RIGHT NEXT TO YOUR JURISDICTION!

PS.
I'm not generalizing everyone who lives in the good province of Cavite. But to the ones that I have encountered along the road... you know who you are, and you know what you do.

news source: GMANews - Charges vs Martin Nievera

Ooops...

Regarding the National Anthem Issue...

I believed I addressed the wrong Atienza on that one. I though it was former Mayor Atienza, it was a different one pala.

But I still think the public reaction towards the rendition is a little over the line. Seriously? I don't even see anyone singing it when It's being sung here in our country. People stand and not mind it, why the public outcry that it's foul...

I still stand by my word that an artists creativity and passion can still be infused to how they wanna do it.

Do Not Break The Diet

Amidst the confliction, amidst the pain and suffering... we should always remember to keep our eyes on the prize.

I feel you Shaq! I truly do... but I have vowed to pursue the Shaq-lite movement. And that would mean that we should avoid them doughnuts... at all cost...

Presenting Your 2009 NBA MVP

It's not much of a surprise, but here's a video to prove just why he deserves the landslide win for the award. And I don't think he's done improving... 2009 is just the first of many...

So I hope you don't go to New York... I just don't like the whole idea... But I liked the idea of Nash heading to Phoenix, and who knew he'll win back to back MVP awards there? right?

anyway.. stay in C-land... build your dynasty there!
