Epiphany

We always try and be the people that we see in Television. When we see awesome dudes most of the time some people opt to copy em. It could range from Barney Stinson to Borat or to someone like not these two...

But I just realized, as not real as these guys are... in their not real worlds? They're what they are... they're themselves.

All I'm saying is that to be awesome we don't have to copy em, they're them... and we're us. Let's start be our own unique selves...

Being yourself is not that bad... is one of the best advice that I've received and following it.

Thanks for letting this side of me free.

Enjoying The Script's album right now. You guys gotta check this out. I don't know who to compare this guys like, but they have all the ingredients for awesomeness. They'll sure pass the driving tunes test.

They also kind of remind me of Mute Math in a way? I'm not really that sure. Just check em out... buy their album! It's worth it!

They just got in my iPod and already I can say The Script > Anberlin HAHAHA

Looking Forward 2010

Well since 2010 is just around the corner, and so far it's looking to be something that would really start with a bang. New responsibilities in my work, other stuff looming like old loves coming back... So here's my few want-to-do's in this coming year.

#1.) Old Love: Music -- time to change the rusty strings on my guitar and get the metronome tapping again. Maybe write a few of my own in the process?

#2.) Old Love: Writing -- why not? I've been fairly active with my writing lately (mostly poetry) and like I said, maybe finally get to attempt to write songs this time.

#3.) Old Love: Books -- I was a bookworm when I was young. Yep that era of hard bound Hardy Boys books and the Lady Bug series are still sitting on my bookshelf. They never really got new brothers until the end of this year where I started buying those Tolkien books (Children of Hurin, The Hobbit)... maybe get around with some CS Lewis this time?

#4.) New Love: My Career. Need to build myself up if I want to improve in where I am right now. E-books where ya at? Maybe I need to invest in a "Kindle" too?

#5.) Old Love: Basketball. Should play alot more, and attend coach's clinics during saturdays. I'm having a blast on my asst. coach role in our young team. I train and play with them too having to lose weight in the process too.

#6.) Save Up! I'm turning 25 in 3 months, and I guess I need to have my future secure as well. There's just alot of stuff that's about to happen. Need to see myself in my own place, and of course... the other stuff that would come inevitably... like family?

-------

These are some things that I wanna do (#4 will definitely do) in this coming year. The others, we'll see as we go. But for now, why don't we just put some smiles on kids as they get to open their gifts?

Which reminds me... I still gots alot of shopping stuff to do!

Tumblr

Ok, I have no idea why I have this knack on maintaining more than one blog...
I have my twitter, plurk -- not that active there but, multiply, which this blog is also synced, flickr, to keep my photos, and now tumblr...

My tumblr account used to be marcodj.tumblr.com but then, other people that I don't know started following aswell. With that, I decided to change the address to somehow keep me anonymous.

Keep up with me in my tumblr if you're up for it peeps. http://djcheese.tumblr.com

oh... and I'm trying this one out, and kind of having fun as well...
got any questions for me? put em up in my formspring!

Closer

Distance sings a song
it goes with a tune that I can't belong
Pain now hums along a tune
My name along with the casualties it prunes

Why should I sit and stare
Along the vast sky with blinding glare
I still hold what tomorrow would bring
Chin up, stand up, a new song to sing

I know someday, this will all be over
For the distance that now beholds her
On that day when I come over
We'll be closer, we'll be closer

These words I heard over a song
Gives me hope where I could belong
I changed a bit to make it mine
and in time, your hand in mine

I don't know what else to think
your image pops out everytime I blink
and right now I know both are far to link
but then there's still these ideas to sink

that someday, this will all be over
that distance will no longer hold her
for one day I'll come over
finally, we'll be closer

Can we start over?

The Answer Is Back!

After months of complaining for playing time, retiring and un-retiring. Allen Iverson finds himself back in the arms of Philly, the city of brotherly love.

and look at the people who came by to see their prodigal son. They surely did look at their browser windows, and at the first news that he's coming back... they came in running. It seems that no seats we're vacated and it's just awesome to see those #3 Philly Jersey's back in fashion again.

You go get em, you cornrowed, complaining, future hall-of-famer you... go and do yo thang. (11 points 5 rebounds 6 assists and a steal on his first game back as a Sixer)

A Must Read: Why We MUST Watch Breaking Dawn (Movie)

THE DEVIN'S ADVOCATE:

WHY BREAKING DAWN MUST BE MADE INTO A MOVIE

by Devin Faraci | 11/27/2009

With New Moon likely to make yet another metric fuckload of money this weekend we need to find the bright side to the entire Twilight mania. There must be something good that comes from this awful Mormon fantasy that seems to have invaded our culture on every front. That something is the eventual movie version of Breaking Dawn.

Even though New Moon has made a bazillion dollars and even though the third Twilight book, Eclipse, is already filming, Summit has declined to announce the fourth and final Twilight book as a movie. There's a good reason for this: Breaking Dawn is completely fucking insane, and it is probably totally unfilmable. But if they do film it... man, we are in for a treat.

Breaking Dawn opens with Bella Swan, the lacteal heroine of the series, finally getting married to Edward Cullen, the mopey vampire hero. They go off to honeymoon on Isle Esme, a Brazilian island the Cullen clan owns (this is already ridiculous beyond belief. Imagine a vampire going snorkeling; it basically happens in this book), and Edward is afraid to fuck his new bride. The reason: he's super strong and she's just a human - Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex type of situation here. But Bella wears him down and Edward throws it in her - and knocks her the fuck out, leaving her badly bruised.

Let's go over that again: Edward fucks Bella into unconsciousness. This alone should have you running to Fandango to pre-order your tickets, but it only gets better.

Despite being knocked out cold by his sexual style (and having the headboard destroyed), Bella goes back to Edward for seconds. This time he knocks her up. Yes, an undead vampire apparently has enough viable sperm to impregnate a human woman while fucking her off the coast of Rio de Janero. Stephenie Meyer, you fabulous idiot!

The baby in Bella's belly starts growing incredibly fast. And it starts hurting Bella, as each kick it gives has the super strength of a vampire behind it. As it grows, Bella gets sicker, and then the good stuff starts. The baby kicks so hard it breaks Bella's ribs and then severs her spine. Are you imagining Kristen Stewart wearing a fake pregnancy belly and pretending to have been suddenly crippled by her own fetus? Because I am and it's making me laugh and laugh and laugh.

Oh wait, I missed something. Edward is completely freaked out about the baby, fearing it will kill Bella. He tries to convince her to get an abortion (but seriously, how could she? Vampires are tough to kill even in this shitty series), and goes so far as asking Native American wolfboy Jacob to impregnate his wife so that she can have the baby she desperately wants. I'm dizzy with how ridiculous this is, and we're just getting started.

Eventually the baby starts to get born and Bella is dying. The baby has telepathy, by the way, so everybody can read its thoughts while it's in the womb, and it turns out to have an essentially adult mind. Like Alia in Dune; I would accuse Stephenie Meyer of ripping this off, but anyone who thinks that Meyer might have read Frank Herbert has never been within spitting distance of Twilight. The woman is a moron.

In a moment that demands to be shown on the silver screen, Edward gives Bella an emergency C-section with his fucking teeth. It's like something out of XTro, for the love of God. It's so horrible it's brilliant, and this scene alone is why I remain firm in declaring that David Cronenberg must direct Breaking Dawn. This is surely his movie.

Once the baby is out, Bella gets vamped by Edward, as she's about to die at any moment. Then comes the most astonishing turn of events in 21st century literature, and possibly in the entire history of awful fiction aimed at tweens: Jacob the werewolf, who has been madly in love with Bella, sees the new baby girl and immediately imprints on her. What this means, in layman's terms, is that he falls in love with the baby.

I want to pull this out on its own: Jacob falls in love with a baby.

The book makes no bones about this; while Jacob doesn't want to fuck the baby right off the bat, he can't stand to be away from it and visits everyday. His love has been transferred from Bella to the baby (who has the tongue shattering name Renesmee), and because of the science behind imprinting he'll love her forever. So one day he's going to stick his wolf dick in this girl that he see as a bloody newborn. Romance is not dead, it's just being abused by insane Mormon writers.

There's more in Breaking Dawn - the Volturi come back, for one thing - but these are the main amazing events that demand this book to be turned into a film. I will not rest until I have seen a movie in which a werewolf falls in love with a baby. Hell, once I've seen a werewolf fall in love with a baby I may quit movie watching - I will have seen the ultimate culmination of a century of cinema. The entire film of Breaking Dawn would play like the weirdest exploitation film since Doris Wishman died - brutal sex, bizarre body horror, unbelievable pedophilia.

A werewolf falling in love with a baby. This is why Thomas Edison invented this shit in the first place. So we could see a werewolf fall in love with a baby.

Quite a Year

I still can't believe that November is ending already. Time does fly so fast. It just felt like I turned 24 yesterday.

But what a year it's turning out to be for Filipinos. After being sent down to our knees with consecutive calamities, bastards then came rushing in like they just escaped from Gotham's Arkham Asylum.

Nobody could explain what kind of souls these people have to just have 57 (or probably more) killed without batting an eyelash. And for what reason? Contesting a political position?

After seeing the Gruesome Photos (found here) I'm at a loss for words. Everyone's been crying about it, and I think nobody from the clan would be punished here. I bet their grunts would be the only ones that would feel the lashing from our laws.

Two words for you guys.
Up Yours!

Dear You,

it’s been a while
and it doesn’t help that we’re a thousand miles
I haven’t heard from lately
just wanted to know how are you exactly
emotions plays tough games
let them be
if you need some space
i’ll let you be
I hope i dont go overboard with what i feel
it’s just something that i thought would appeal
it’s so obvious that i feel for you still
i just don’t want to give you a hard time with your ideals

dear you,
i’ll take a step back
just let me know
i’d freely freeze out
even though it blows
here comes that feeling
the one that sings the blues
when i’m sitting here blindly wading out the clues
we promised that no matter what
we’ll still be good
because we’re just that
too good for truth
so here i’ll stay
and watch you from afar
with my heart held tight
and its door ajar
so for now i’ll keep still
wait for the next time we say our spiels
and so here i’ll wait, stay and kneel
until we’re all ready to say what we feel

Made True To 1 Promise

So I finally made true to one of my purchases for this year. I finally got hold of the iPod that I have placed on hold for a couple of years now.

You see, I'm not the kind of guy that would get gadgets here and there, for me, as long as they work, I'm good with that. My first mp3 player was a pink one given to me by an Uruk Hai. I thank the kind orc for that gift, and that's from the bottom of my heart. It was a 128mb player that made my commutes alright. I thought to myself that that size would be alright since I just need to carry a few selections and such. But I caught myself at a loss when I heard something on the radio and wanted to hear a better version of it in my ear, alas... I didn't have it loaded in my pocket size player.

My 2nd one was an improvement, it was a 128mb Creative MuVo that was given to me by a friend. It was just sitting there in his desk and when he knew that I didn't have that much to carry with, he gave me the MuVo. The MuVo was an improvement since it's sound quality was way better than the Orc gift. The old player went to my mom loaded with her default favorites. These players needed triple-A batteries to work, which was of course a pain in the ass since you had to charge em everytime.

My 3rd one lasted for a year and a half, my ever trusty 1gb Creative Zen Stone. It was a small player, as big as a skipping stone that hid snug in my pockets for that long of a time. This one carried alot of songs, I could drop a whole playlist there of a certain genre. During work, I find myself dumping alternative tracks, and before ball I fill it up with my Balla-list. There'll be rainy days that I need to have some slow ones in em. But... we all know that sooner or later 1gb wouldn't be enough. Yeah it'll last you for a trip, but then again, it doesn't support mood swings. It's not capable of switching from your rainy day mood to something that would prepare you for a fight.

This year, when I finally got a hold of a stable job, and I thank my new family (work) for that, I finally could afford this dream of mine that have evaded me for a couple of years now. I am finally an owner of an iPod. And guess what... It's playing a John Mayer Trio concert too while I'm typing this blog.

The clicker just felt right, the circling of my thumbs through the songs just felt awesome and the videos that would make my passenger butt go through an hour of travel adds spice to the awesomeness that it already is. I love it.

But then again... as my library continues to evolve, as the movies that I wanna load it up continue to progress... in a couple of years more... will it be enough?

Right now, I love her... and I don't think that'll change anytime soon... ... ... ...

True Story.

School Boys Schooled The Pros

They're not yet ready for the big leagues, they're too small, I doubt there will ever be a system where 6 footers can beat 7 footers. These are the words of those who doubted the young guys that comprised of the Smart Gilas team that beat the PBA backed RP Team, Powerade 69 to 98.

Their number 1 doubter, the so-called best local coach in the Phils (not! i.m.o.), Coach Guiao, didn't have answers for the perfectly executed plays by the Gilas squad that comprised mostly of college and amateur players. The Gilas squad also have Guiao's former Powerade player and almost Burger King lottery pick Japeth Aguilar, who himself man handled and toyed with the Powerade defense.

Gilas displayed fluid offensive motions that started with point guards Green Archer JV Casio and exiled Tamaraw, Mark Baroca. Picks after picks set the plays to make us see wide open jumpers, three pointers and emphatic slam dunks end it.

American, CJ Giles, finished the game with 22 points, 16 rebounds and 5 blocks to lead the Gilas team to a 29 point victory. FEU Tamaraw JR Cawaling almost broke the century mark as he hoisted a three pointer to end their final play as they winded the shot clock down. I think they didn't want to batter Powerade that much.

This is somehow a biased point since I was a supporter of the Gilas squad since day 1. And maybe the people who watched the game in Araneta last night saw what kind of beautiful basketball these young guys (some of them are still in college) displayed. What's scary about this squad is that they're still gonna grow into their prime together.

That game just proved that team chemistry, and basketball discipline trumps professional experience and talent any day. At least in Philippine soils.

I can't wait to see these guys play in the PBA in the All Filipino cup. I'd probably watch these guys again live. It's basketball love in first sight.

Ondoy

September 26, 2009. A day that will forever live in infamy, a day where Manila experienced Natures Wrath by the name of Ondoy. Hundred lives gone, Thousands missing, Hundreds of thousands of Filipinos displaced and millions of pesos worth of materials lost.

This is what Manila and Filipinos have been mourning for the past few days. All in tears, everybody lending a helping hand to everybody, doing something we Filipinos have been proud of, our concept of 'Bayanihan'.

Even Filipinos who are not outside were actively lending their time by posting updates through Facebook and Twitter, sending donations through text and everybody urging everyone to give give and give. I know it's sad that we're only awakened to hold each others hands during times like this, when a storm levels the playing field, but I'll take it nonetheless.

September 26, 2009, when Ondoy dropped a month's worth of rain in a span of 6 hours, drowned cities, leveled houses, and took lives, is also a day when Filipinos from everywhere stopped, listened and acted upon what they could do.

It would live in infamy alright... but there's still something we could take out from it...
This is also a day that we, as Filipinos, are one.

Distant

What should one do when you're reduced to something that's of a distant memory.
A fleeting past...

I vowed not to bring these ghosts back again.
I just couldn't help when they surface again.

So what would one do when he's reduced by this? He holds of memories that only he could remember. Holds something dear that's could probably not as big of a deal to anyone else.

Pain...

How would one look if they're nothing but of a distant past...
A present friend...
Who can't let go of his ghosts of fading past.

Jay-Z - The Blueprint 3 on The 411

I didn't like it.

I'm more of a traditional Hip-hop listener. I like those solid bass beats that some of old would spit into. And The Blueprint 3 ain't that.

Jay is a futurist, and the third outing of The Blueprint franchise was a step forward from probably what made Hip-Hop, Hip-Hop.

I'd go down with the old Biggie and Pac beats, I'd go down with the southern T.I. tracks. I would bop my head with some old Jigga tracks like Renegade and Takeover. This one only had 1 or 2 that would make me repeat on my iTunes.

It's not a bad album... It's probably a pioneer of the next wave of Hip-Hop tracks, but it's something that I need to grow on with.

The 411? The Blueprint 3 didn't pack enough heat with it.

Track Listing:
1. What We Talkin' About
2. Thank You
3. D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune) **[***]
4. Run this Town (feat. Kanye West & Rihanna) ***[**]
5. Empire State of Mind (feat. Alicia Keys) *****
6. Real As It Gets (feat. Young Jeezy)
7. On To The Next One (feat. Swizz Beatz)
8. Off That (feat. Drake)
9. A Star is Born (feat. J. Cole)
10. Venus vs Mars
11. Already Home (feat. Kid Cudi)
12. Hate (feat. Kanye West) **[***]
13. Reminder
14. So Ambitious (feat. Pharrell)
15. Young Forever (feat. Mr. Hudson)

the tracks on bold are the ones that are memorable for me.

Define Ungas: (adj.) an insult directed to people who makes blunders often.
Other words would be Tanga, Bobo, Gago, and... Dumb Ass.

This is a video of Pampanga Representative Mikey Arroyo as the guest of Winnie Monsod and Arnold Clavio's show in GMA.

Winnie is asking Congressman Mikey Arroyo about the anomalies found in his SALN (Statement of Assets and Liabilities and Net Worth) regarding the $1.32 million (P63.7-million) residential house in the United States.

It's just crazy how a person would rise from a net worth of P5 million to P76.9 million in a matter of 3 years and blows up to P99 million in the next three years.

Watch the Congressman's face as he tries to explain himself to the hosts and see how uncomfortable he's feeling as he bursts out in awkward laughter and unconscious finger twiddles.

And of course... walang ungas sa videos na to... ... ...

This Coming Season

This coming NBA Season, I thought I'd start a series going. Something that would honor those who makes other cringe while watching basketball in our seats. Something that would put the players that would make you say "uhhhhhhhh" as they slam their bodies against another one who gets on their way on a pedestal. I'd like to have something going that would make you go out and get your hops on.

This coming NBA Season, No Ungas Allowed brings you...

"P-ohhhhhh-ster".

A Blog-post-series that would display the images of people getting posterized, dunked on, humiliated, or dahntey'd.

This series is inspired by the ruckus that 'The King' made during the offseason when the Crawford kid made one during LBJ's camp and...

Wishful Thinking

After our careful watching of the send off the country gave to her mother, former president Cory, this is certainly something that would make you ('pffffft') out the hot coffee you're sipping as you're reading this morning paper ('will not tell but you probably know already').

At that moment you'd probably know that there's hot coffee all around your food, your pants and on your paper. You wear your glasses, put down the cup of coffee you're holding as you brave yourself to read the paper once more.

You rub your eyes roughly and slap yourself to check if you're dreaming.

You focus more, and everything suddenly became real.

Someone was either up late last night, dreaming of things to come, or just used to adding that name after typing 'President'. One thing's for sure... Someone's getting fired today.

In other news,
someone is really serious in running for the presidency. Mar Roxas, Manny Villar, and now, Jejomar Binay are using media... someone else was using a personal touch on campaigning.

Now that we're almost midway through the free agent signings and teams in the NBA are mostly done or wrapping up with their transactions, I'm still left with one question... "Where will AI be next season?"

It's just hard to see a player of Iverson's caliber not to be part of any team next year. But then again, it's also hard to see where he'll fit this coming season. I've browsed through the ideas of him joining the other teams, I just don't know where to fit his game.

Memphis thought about it and offered $5mill for 1 year, but that means that he'll be coming off the bench. This would certainly, and obviously halt the development of the Grizzlies young guards in Conley and OJ Mayo.

The Clippers also entertained the idea of bringing in AI... to sell tickets.

Most of these deals would also come with the stipulation that AI would come off the bench... Detroit tried it... AI ended his season early with a "bad back". Now I don't know if he'll ever sign for something like it.

As we go through the off-season... the question still remains... Where will AI be at the start of this season?

Mark IV Iron Man II

Screen Rant was at the San Diego Comic Con and this is what the Marvel Kiosk has on display, Tony Stark's Hall of Armor, and we may be seeing the armor that the Tin Man would don in the second film.

From left to right you can see the armors from Mark I to Mark IV. Mark I was the one he used to escape his capturers. Mark II was the one he tried to fly around the city. Mark III was the one that he used to fight Iron Mongerer. Mark IV is the one that he might be using in the 2nd film... With Terrence Howard, Rhodes saying "Next time baby" as he looked at one armor in Starks basement would be a hint that Rhodes will be flying around with buddy Stark in the 2nd film...

Everything will all be seen come May 2010.

LeBitch

When I shared my friend @jeskeets tweet about the video of LeBron going to come out through the ever watchful eyes of TMZ, he got excited and was ecstatic to share me the new word he found through blogs...

LeBitch.

True enough, he's been acting like one lately. After winning the league MVP award and his team basically racking every silverware out there... He was dubbed as LeCryBaby when he left the court after their team bowed out against the Magic... and now he's nowhere to be found after 2nd year man dunked on him in his own camp.

Getting dunked on is nothing really... but then this guy really made a big deal out of it.

In the 30 second mark of this video... you'll see why Jordan Crawford is 'geeked' and why he became... LeBitch.

For Tito

Today a very good man, who's kind in nature, a father to everyone, and a friend of all, gave up his spirit to be with our Creator. He'll be missed alot, he'll surely be remembered by all his family and friends. And for sure, he'll never leave the hearts of those he shared his life with.

Without leaving anything behind, I witnessed this man poured it all to his work, and to his family.

Helping people who are in need was part of his name, every landslide that involves miners, he was there to initiate rescue. He always said and showed love to his children, and how they grew up would be the very testimony of how he gave it. And lastly, he never stopped believing and loving God until the very end.

To that I raise my glass for my Tito. Who always surprised me with advices and always shared a warm hug. He who never stepped back when there are challenges, and he who showed and shared alot of love to his family. I thank you for that Tito Ernie...

There'll be a day when we'll all meet again... without pain, without sadness and mourning... there'll be a day for that... today I just want to thank you, and celebrate your life.

Cheers...

I'll miss you Tito Ernie... Journey on.

Lullaby

Today started out well... A good sleep, and woke up just in time to grab breakfast and get prepared before stepping out of the condo to get a cab to work.

Then... suddenly... rain started to fall...

cold air breezed in through the windows and sang a soothing lullaby that sent me packing up to dreamland for another 30 minutes.

It compromised my preparation, but then again, I'm just a 20 minute walk away from my office, I just didn't want to arrive all sweaty to work so I still get a cab every morning. This day was different... I stepped out of the condo at around 7:15 am and there's just no available taxi that was passing by.

I sucked it in and began to take little steps... starting from 1 and then taking the second until I got here. Accompanied by the drops of rain, I couldn't help but whip out my phone and just get this thing in pictures. Like I said in my previous blog... I miss my camera.

And so here I am... at work... trying to recollect my thoughts of the wet adventure (not really). And I'm really hoping we could also get tickets later for the first night of the new Harry Potter movie.

And also... where did I friggin put that umbrella?

Missing the Hobby

One thing that makes me envy other photography hobbyist around is the opportunities they get around their backyard.

Some of my contacts in Flickr would post the San Francisco bridge on a foggy night with a full moon to boot, or a small water fall thats on their creek that's just around the corner of their house. These guys can just get up, grab their cameras and move in to make gorgeous pictures.

I, on the other hand, is struggling to find shots that's just outside my yard. I have a river that's oozing with trash because of the inconsiderate people living near it. With cluttered houses, there's just not much there. I have to travel for miles to get something going.

One of the things that I usually go for are landscapes. As you can see, most of my Flickr posts would have these on. I also love to get the grungy architectures that our old churches here in the Philippines would give, I'd love to have those on black and white too.

Hehe... but then again, most photographers would just make something ordinary... interesting...
Sometimes I just wish I can do that in a jiffy...

But with all things said and done... I think I'm just missing my camera. He's just there sitting right beside my monitor at home. I think I'm going to take him out this Friday and Saturday.

Return of the Tube

Dead Set - I got my hands on this show and wished there's more than 5 episodes of this. My brother finished gobbling all 5 of em last night while I slept through the 2nd because it was just that late in the evening already. I would've stayed up if I could blast the volume up and watch it how it's supposed to, blasting speakers and me screaming like a bitch.

That's what I did while playing the Zombie Game in Call of Duty: World at War and while the zombies gang up on you when you alarm them in Left 4 Dead.

Plot Summary by IMDb.
It's eviction night at the Big Brother house, but something very strange is happening; the dead are coming alive and attacking the living. When zombies attack all of the audience outside, the Big Brother contestants are unaware of the death outside the fan-proof (and zombie-proof) big brother house until the show's runner, Kelly, comes into the house and warns them of the doom outside. Stuck with even less contact with the outside world, the house-mates must sneak out of the house to get supplies, without being seen by the zombies.

This is what they should do with the show Heroes. Let them be taken into prison by the government and be isolated from everyone. A virus then spreads amongst the nation making all of them zombies. Now it's up to the Heroes to save them all from it... find a cure or...
...
survive...

now wouldn't that be awesome? then Claire Bennet gets bitten by one and will be the Zombie that never dies. HOW ABOUT THAT FOR A PLOT!
cmon NBC sign me...

Modern Warfare 2 Teasing Teasers

Modern Warfare 2 which is pegged to be released November is showing out what they'll include in their 'prestige package'.

Fully functioning Night Vision mother friggin Goggles.

This is something worth to be seen but then again... I just want to get my hands on the game and play it. I remember the good ol days when I slept over my friends place and played Modern Warfare 1. I sat on it... and never stood up. I finished the whole game in one sitting from about 8:00 pm to 1:00 am the next day. I didn't get to go to work that day because of being so fatigued with war.

My brother then got the World at War and man o man... it didn't disappoint as well. Packaged with an awesome 'Zombie Mode' bonus game... You won't get tired of playing it.

My franken-pc monster isn't up yet, and looking at my finances, it's not going along with what was planned. This game is coming out November... maybe I can cook something up before the time comes.

War is at hand... Gotta be equipped for it.

Theatrical Drought

totally crushing on this witch

Upon residing in Mandaluyong for most of the weekends. Me and my cousin developed a ritual to hang out for a movie every now and then to ease the boredom of not having the comforts of your own home. We watch movies every now and then.

Last week after the explosive week that the 2nd Transformers film caused, we found ourselves staring at posters of Hannah Montana and Ice Age 3... movies that we wouldn't to get ourselves into.

This following weeks would mean redemption as the 6th Harry Potter film is coming out on July 15th? 16th?... Johnny Depp's Public Enemies will be showing on July 22, and Up to end this month. I think Year One, Land of the Lost and GI Joe would be coming out one by one too...

Well cousin... we won't get bored for these coming weeks... good thing Shang is just around the corner.

Karim Benzema, the fourth coming for Real Madrid.

The presentation of Karim Benzema ended the 1st wave of signings that included Spanish defender, Raul Albiol, the Brazilian playmaker Kaka and the Portuguese phenom Cristiano Ronaldo. Florentino Perez and Valdano promises 3 more signings that could include Xabi Alonso among them.

Cold Arizona Summer

The current NBA Off-Season is turning out to be a mad one. The names that are being moved from one franchise to another is crazy. They range from the Kirk Humphries to the Ron Artest's to the Vince Carter's and the Shawn Marion's.

A great deal of teams have greatly improved their stock with their current movements while the others, including my Phoenix Suns, inactivity simply baffles me.

Early this morning a deal concerning the move of Shawn Marion to the Dallas Mavericks is finalized which apparently broke my heart because, even if it was a long shot, I wanted him back in Phoenix. Now there are talks about the Jazz' Carlos Boozer is being shopped by the Bulls.

Which brings me to my question...

What the f*** is Steve Kerr doing?

Being a general manager, you should be looking after the success of the franchise, but soon after he sat down there replacing Mike D'Antoni (who replaced Bryan Colangelo) as the Suns GM, everything went downhill. One bad deal after another... one bad idea after another.

The Orlando Magic got Vince Carter, the Boston Celtics got Rasheed Wallace, the San Antonio Spurs got Richard Jefferson and Antonio McDyess, the Los Angeles Lakers got Ron Artest, and lastly... the Dallas Mavericks got Shawn Marion and possibly Marcin Gortat... while the Phoenix Suns got Ben Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic and the 48th pick of next years draft (AWESOME!).

I know we're really steering into rebuilding this franchise but without picks next year, who happens to showcase John Wall, I don't know when I'll see this franchise climb up again that playoff spot.

The Phoenix Suns are looking into trading Amar'e Stoudemire but somehow no one is biting, we're still in possession of Steve Nash who's really not getting any younger, we're trying to hold on to Grant Hill who's basically at the final run of his career and a bunch of questionable young men named Alando Tucker, Robin Lopez and this years draft picks Earl Clark and Taylor "not Blake" Griffin.

Having those I'm looking into starting the season with this lineup that doesn't really make much sense. Steve Nash, Leandro Barbosa/Tucker/Richardson, Jason Richardson/Earl Clark, Louis Amundson, and Amar'e.

I just don't know how this lineup could get into the playoffs again, and having no picks... because we sent our UNPROTECTED pick to OKC next year along with Kurt Thomas for cash, there's just nothing to look forward to in the next 3 or more years.

The only thing that this franchise can boast of now is their secret fountain of youth that made Grant Hill and Shaq valuable assets once more. Maybe we could buy into that and get cheap could've-been-stars that seeks a second chance to revitalize their careers like Darius Miles who was recently waived by the Memphis Grizzlies. Make a way to get Yao and T-Mac to come over, see if we can reassemble Penny and give it a go like the kind of team the Celtics is assembling... at least do something for crying out loud.

Sometimes I wish I didn't like the Suns, sometimes I wish I wasn't a fan, but like it or not, I'm with them for the long haul, I just don't imagine myself not being one. I've been following them since Sir Charles led them to almost win a title, I followed them when they had Jason Kidd and Penny to lead the charge. I followed them down when Stephon Marbury brought them under and I followed them when Steve Nash made us believe again...

So... What is Steve Kerr doing?

CR9 Meets Madrid

A week after Real Madrid presented their first signing, Kaka, the Madrid faithful, 80,000 of them, came back to the Santiago Bernabeu to meet the 2nd 'galactico' to arrive in Madrid.

The 80,000 strong that came in Santiago Bernabeu witnessed how CR9 began to live his dream.

i HALA MADRID !

Galacticos - The term used to describe Real Madrid circa 2000-2004 who boasted a roster that comprised of the worlds biggest soccer names like Zinadine Zidane, Luis Figo, Raul, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo and Raul.

This team won the La Liga title in 2000-2001 and 2002-2003 (some consider the league title that Real Madrid won in 2006-2007 signed off the era) and the UEFA Champions League in 2001-2002.

2nd Wave - The 2nd wave of the Galacticos began when Florentino Perez, the bringer of the previous Galacticos in Real Madrid, won the presidency and brought Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema to play with Real.

NBA - Offseason Beat

It's been a while since we've had this guys, and since we're experiencing one of the most busy offseason movement ever... why not talk about them right?

let's begin from the top

Shaquille O'Neal to Clevelend for Ben Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic

The Suns simply traded the monster they rejuvenated for their cause that didn't work... and got nothing but budget breathing space back, and I'm not quite sure how they're going to use it. The free agents are coming and going as we speak, and Ben Wallace haven't made a decision whether to retire or not. Pavlovic may be serviceable from the Phoenix bench, but this lineup is really depleted. I'm expecting another grim season for my Suns.

Vince Carter and Ryan Anderson to Orlando for Courtney Lee, Tony Battie, and Rafer Alston

This was a smart move for both teams. The Nets got a bright future in Lee and good role players in Alston and Battie. But with Harris already running the floor, I don't know if Alston could keep his mouth shut given that he's gonna come off the bench.

The Magic on the other hand gambled on Vince's old knees. This could make or break for them as Vince showed that he can still shoot outside, but... he's more of Half Man, Half Deteriorated right now... But we'll see. They gave a good prospect out and got another one in the form of Ryan Anderson who could really play the Orlando game. RAnderson can really shoot it outside, and if he's really someone who could bloom to a Troy Murphy? Dwight would love that hard rebounder and outside shooter with him any day.

Richard Jefferson to the Spurs for Bruce Bowen, Kurt Thomas and Fabricio Oberto

Spurs may have another run for the title for them with the addition of Richard Jefferson. They didn't need Bruce Bowen, KT and Fabricio and they got a quality scorer back. With Pop's wits, RJ may be seeing alot of shots the way Roger Mason Jr did.

The Bucks on the other hand traded Oberto for Amir Johnson who may become a quality young stud off their bench (or starting). Nothing to expect from Milwaukee but they may create some fantasy players there.

Mike Miller, Randy Foye to the Wizards for Etan Thomas, Darius Songalia, Oleksiy Pecherov

One word... Quality.

The Wizards got two quality guys from Minesotta for a bag of... something else. Mike Miller and Randy Foye can help their team off the bench who already boasts of a lineup consisting Agent Zero Minutes, Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler. With the addition of the offensive guru, Flip Saunders... expect this team to give us a change we can believe in...

The Wolves on the other hand... seems to still have Kevin McHale running the show... 3 PG's on draft day and these guys? hmmmmm... If they're expiring contracts I'd understand.

Jamal Crawford to the Heat for Acie Law and Speedy Claxton.

The Golden State Warriors resolved their clogged up back court situation by sending away Jamal Crawford for... a couple of guards. Well I'm not seeing Law or Claxton suit up for Nelson this year... but the Hawks got a headache with Crawford. I'm interested on how disrupted their rotation would be.

Darko Milicic to the Knicks for Quentin Richardson.

A wise move for the Knicks here because... David Lee might move some place.

Zach Randolph to the Grizzlies for Quentin Richardson.

Time to experience some locker room chaos in Memphis.

Jason Kapono to the 76ers for Reggie Evans.

Sixers got a shooter... Raptors got a dude.

Ron Artest to the Lakers

This is something of a head scratcher, I liked how they used Trevor and I don't know how they'll handle Artests attitude. He's no Rodman because Dennis didn't take shots from MJ and Pip... Ron would take alot of questionable shots, more than Fisher will ever do, from Kobe and the others... And I don't know if it's wise for the Lakers to put a guy who took a hiatus from Basketball to pursue a rap career in LA. It's going to be a wild ride... but still, it's going to be entertaining come November.

Trevor Ariza to the Rockets

This is another headscratcher. Ariza thrived in LA because he had a Kobe Bryant to support. I don't know if Trevor would be a go to guy, but I'd still love him to prove me wrong. The guy has a great attitude (from what I see on tv) and would love him to be big. Houston could be that place for him...

Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva to the Pistons

The Pistons are rebuilding and they got these guys. Ben Gordon who basically doesn't have any idea what a friggin assist is and Charlie Villanueva who's game is so inconsistent it's always a gamble on playing him on your fantasy team.

I really don't know how Rip, Ben Gordon and Stuckey could work together... but then again the league hasn't started yet and this could still change...

Hedo Turkoglu to the Raptors

The Magic would surely miss this guy but he did demand alot for what he's capable of doing. The Raptors gave him that. This is a move to keep Bosh thinking if staying in Toronto would work in the next few years. Given that Marion could still sign for them, T-dot may make a run for the playoffs this year...

All I know is that under Bryan Colangelo... they won't have to fear in building a team. That guy knows alot when it comes to those.

Rasheed Wallace to the Celtics

Well leprechaun fans... Sheed gives the Celtics another chance to run at that title. Boston has become the last chance hotel for these kind of stars that had PJ Brown kiss that ring 2 seasons ago. Well Sheed has a chance for his 2nd here in Boston... damn. Time for Perk to say goodbye to them minutes.

Still wished he had gone to Orlando.
